The Noosa region boasts a feast of exclusive attractions, natural wonders, cultural indulgences and relaxing escapes just waiting to be explored. All tastes are catered for, from the nature-loving aesthete and active adventurer through to the day-spa devotee, seasoned shopper and culinary connoisseur.

Here is a handful of our favourites within easy reach of 42 Avocet Parade:

The Eumundi Markets:

The famous Eumundi Markets is Australia's premier artisan's market. It is a treasure trove of original artworks, sculptures, furniture, handmade toys, homewares, and skincare, as well as cutting edge fashion and jewellery by local designers, all guided by the ethos of ‘we make it, bake it, grow it, sew it’.

If you’re a foodie, you’ll love the smorgasbord on offer from the laksa, calamari, thai and paella through to the quality coffee, chocolate, great cakes and old fashioned lemonade. There is a wealth of fresh produce, freshly baked breads, and locally-grown and produced delicacies such as cheeses and yoghurts... And that's just to name a few.

Otherwise, sit back and be entertained by a stellar line-up of talented local performers showcasing a mix of world-music sounds, country music or tribal rhythms.

You can also indulge in a vast array of services offered by the many health and wellbeing practitioners.

Noosa North Shore:

Across the river from Noosa Heads and Noosaville is Noosa North Shore - a long stretch of white sand, dunes and beautiful coastline, and the gateway to World Heritage-listed Fraser Island and Great Sandy National Park. A quick and convenient car ferry operates 7 days a week from Tewantin to take you to Noosa North Shore which showcases the region's unspoilt nature to perfection.

Find your own spot along the long stretch of beach to relax, or for the more energetic, why not try horse riding, four wheel driving, swimming, fishing and surfing. Then refuel at the local family-friendly restaurant.

Go kayaking on the unspoilt Lake Cooroibah or see the wonderful array of native wildlife including kangaroos and birds.

Drive along the beach past Teewah and the Coloured Sands, all the way to Rainbow Beach, Double Island Point and on to the Fraser Island vehicular ferry. Vehicle permits are required to drive along the beach and on some inland tracks on Noosa North Shore in the Cooloola Recreation Area.
